We can bring the Museum experience to you!


Founder Wade Harrell will bring a selection of live creatures to the location of your choice! We go to schools, camps, museums, birthday parties and more! We can do a one hour show for a birthday party or set up a large display for a weekend event. We tailor the show to meet your needs!

The Santa Fe Bug and Reptile Museum is seeking partners in the community to help continue our mission! In order to continue educating the community and providing top notch care to the animals, we need additional support.   • Where is the museum located?

    At the present time, the Museum offers outreach programming but does not have a physical location, but we hope to have one again in the future!


  • Why did we change our name?

    We changed to a non-profit community organization and we felt our name should reflect that. Also, we felt that reptiles should be included in our name because they have always been a part of our Museum!

  • What happened to the Harrell House Bug Museum?

    The Harrell House lost its space unexpectedly and on very short notice in December 2021. The support we received from the community at that time inspired us to become a nonprofit organization to continue as The Santa Fe Reptile and Bug Museum.

  • Why reptiles and bugs?

    While it’s true that reptiles and arthropods are not closely related (they are from completely different phylums), they are both equally misunderstood by mankind.

  • How are you funded?

    We are funded primarily through tax-deductible donations and sponsorships from supporters. We receive additional funding through outreach programs.
